About
Wetware Solutions is a blog and product site promoting cost-effective remedies for computer-related problems. We’ve been working with computers for over twenty-five years. In addition, one of our founders has been a network manager at an 80-user law firm for over ten years, and another of our founders runs a successful business in multimedia web designs and sound production.
We’ve always used the Internet to find valuable information for our work, but we know much of this information can be hard to find and even harder to understand. So we’ve decided to blog about some of the real-world problems we’ve had to troubleshoot over the years and what solutions we came up with.
We call these wetware solutions because that’s what human beings are, in computer lingo. In our experience, hardware and software problems are always about how people use computers and what they need to use them effectively. So you can’t talk hardware and software fixes without talking about wetware needs, and that’s our approach: finding practical solutions for problems faced by everyday computer users.
We provide our tips for free because that’s the spirit of the Internet. Most of the links on here, however, are affiliate links, which means that if you find some of our advice useful and decide to click on a related link to a product we’ve recommended in one of our blogs, we might make a few cents if you actually buy the product. That’s up to you. What we won’t do is sell you on a product we think sucks.
Disclaimer: With that in mind, please don’t assume that we’ve quality-tested every product linked on this site. For example, the product links that show up in “Ads by Google” boxes on this and other sites may not be products promoted by the site owners. Google ad links are automated and should not be seen as recommendations. Feel free to click on those links, too, but always do a little of your own research about the site and product before buying. For our part, we will always be explicit about which products we’ve tried and consider worth buying, and even then, our claim is only that they worked for us (given the live environment and specific conditions we faced). Obviously, anything you purchase through one of the links on this site is at your own risk.
What we won’t do is promote an expensive solution when we know something more cost-effective is available. We leave that kind of advice to IT consulting firms that target big corporations with deep pockets. Large corporations need to spend tens of thousands of dollars on Enterprise Solutions so that they don’t show a profit at the end of the fiscal year. Small companies and individuals, however, have some of the same IT needs but without the benefit of corporate budgets, which makes an enterprise solution no solution at all.
Our blogs are meant for regular folks: wetware, not enterprises. Our goal is to provide you with a bit more knowledge about the options available to you. That puts you in a better position to ask the right questions and make more informed decisions about the solutions you ultimately purchase for your self or your business.
We hope you find something useful here and thank you for visiting WetwareSolutions.com.
